Aesthetics in the Time of COVID-19
I think we can all agree 2020 has been unprecedented. Since March, there’s been an incredible shift in the way we work, view others, and conduct our daily lives. People with small businesses especially have been learning to adapt, both professionally and personally.
At the Nicola Finch Laserspa Academy, we did our part and shuttered in March. It was a very long spring, waiting out quarantine. However, it was also a good time for reflection — to learn to adapt to this “new normal”; again, both personally and professionally.
Having carefully watched the trends in this industry that I love over the past few months, I see hope at the end of the tunnel. Now is the time to innovate. To learn something new and brush up on old skills. You’re investing in yourself, and your future. The Aesthetics industry will undoubtedly rebound, and it’s our job to be ready. There will always be a need for our services. People will be eager to get back to their self-care routines. Now more than ever, accreditation is important. Clients also want to know they’re receiving the best possible care, safely.
So, I’m back to work. Busy as ever, working with my online students and hands-on training at the academy. We follow all of the safety protocols put forth by Health Canada, and our PPE is in place at all times. We host class sizes of only three students in order to adhere to social distancing where possible; the more intimate setting also ensures an even higher level of attention and immersion in the course.
Enrolling in the Laser Hair Removal or Medical Aesthetics program is a hands-on opportunity to upgrade their skills, learn the new procedures in a safe and accredited environment, expand their business or even start a new career they love — and I’m thrilled to be a part of the process.
And psst… I’m excited to be offering a brand-new, online Microneedling course coming soon! Check back mid-September for more details.
