Always Start At The Beginning
Before opening my very first laser hair removal medi-spa in the Lower Mainland over two decades ago, I sought out the very best education in the medical aesthetics industry that I could. At the time, that was Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver. Following certification, and opening the spa, it was endless hours of hard work. The payoff? I learned that by investing more of myself into the process — educating myself in the proper techniques and gaining official certification — I gained unparalleled training that I’m now able to pass on as a teacher myself. The takeaway is: always start at the beginning. No one can jump into greatness. It takes dedication, time, and the willingness to learn all facets of the thing you’re most passionate about to make it the best it can be!

It’s okay to choose yourself! This is one of the hardest things to accept when embarking on a new career. Ignore that negative inner dialogue and choose to believe in yourself. You’re interested in the career you are for a reason. You’re choosing to commit to you. And that’s okay.
