Our laser technician training is online, and you can take courses at your leisure. You’ll also receive three days of hands-on training conducted at our Laserspa Academy, located in the heart of Kelowna, BC’s cultural district. You must have a basic understanding of hair and skin, be in good health, and be at least 20 years of age or older. You must be willing to learn and have a positive outlook.

During your coursework, you’ll delve into topics like personal hygiene, bacteriology, and the foundations of professional ethics. We’ll also cover common disorders of the skin, Fitzpatrick skin typing, and the histology of the skin. Next, you’ll learn more about laser light sources, physics, and safety as well as contraindications. Important laser terms will be covered to help you gain a better understanding of the industry, the process, and the best practices.

You’ll receive audio training about the introduction to laser hair removal and much more. There is also video training about laser hair removal safety and consultation so you can make sure you’re following the best practices. A one-hour Zoom session will be required before the hands-on portion so that you feel completely confident and ready after you’ve received your online training. Finally, you’ll learn how to provide laser hair removal on the legs, bikini area, face, underarms, and men's backs, chests, abs, and more. Our full Medical Aesthetics Program offers training in laser hair removal, laser technician, along with learning skin rejuvenation treatments. You will learn laser, Intense Pulse Light training. Learn microneeding and facial peels training. In the Medical Esthetics course you will also learn skin tightening, body contouring, fractional, microdermabrasion and much more. In the full medical aesthetician training you will receive videos on laser and skin rejuvenation procedures, audios and all your theory, plus two zoom session for review prior to five days hands on training.
